A Piece of art in Time

The art, it’s purpose. It’s purpose is to show history. The history of mankind set forth. It’s set forth with purpose

The statue, etched in time. It is etched with detail. The detailed in constructing. Its constructing something that’s etched in time.

The painting, a sketch as a masterpiece. The masterpiece of anything with any color. Any color of the thought, the mind. And the mind sketches once more.

The relic, preserved during a passage. It’s a passage through the journey. Through the journey set for the ages. As the ages are preserved.

All of the art, through the history of tme. A time remembered for what it was for. Set for all of it’s time to be. In closing, a time for the art to be in the history of time.

Seen in a Haze

I’m in a daze

Looking through the haze

That is my life

Sitting here

I start to peer

From start to finish, my life

Through all the motions

And through the notions

I keep moving on

In this moment show

What I have to do to grow

And find my way

The future in sight

I see it grow bright

The rest of life; seen on the horizon

You Deserve to be Happy (Essay)

It’s the ponderance; it’s the finding purpose

It’s the rock bottom as well as being on the precipice

Abdicating from the cave of self-loathing to a field of love

It’s not wrong or right; It’s finding what’s right and learning

It’s finding that love; it’s finding that peace

Everyone in this world deserves to be happy. “Happiness is looked upon as a species of — by far the most important species of — well-being. Well-being is in its turn distinguished from welfare. Welfare is the set of states of affairs, mostly external to the subject but not necessarily so, which contribute to his well-being.” (Nordenfelt, L. (1994). Even still through all the sea of doubt, hatred, resentment, regret, and guilt, it can wash ashore. The place ashore is the island of, happiness, wholesomeness, loving, and warming to the soul. For who sees themselves as truly happy? If they do, it’s the examination of why. The answer to the why is what they see in themselves that way. It’s how they see themselves through the eye of self-worth.

Why does the negative come to light? “Negative emotions can be described as any feeling which causes you to be miserable and sad. These emotions make you dislike yourself and others, and reduce your confidence and self-esteem, and general life satisfaction.” (vic.gov.au) The negative comes into the light in a series of ways. It could be external or internal factors as well as the surroundings and situations. So many things can come in the way. It’s the power of those negative emotions. “The reason for this [negative thinking] is that negative events have a greater impact on our brains than positive ones. Psychologists refer to this as the negative bias (also called the negativity bias), and it can have a powerful effect on your behavior, your decisions, and even your relationships.” (Cherry, 2020). However, the lens needs to be changed. You need to see through the positive scope to internalize happiness.

The trick is self-acceptance and allowing yourself too to be happy. “You deserve to be happy because you are alive. Not in the classic, cliché sense but in a core, biological fashion. You were built to use happiness as a tool to evaluate the world that surrounds you.” (Priebe, 2021). You need to have yourself with you in this life; you need to love and be happy with yourself in this life. The need goes beyond the motions of it all. It’s not just the day-to-day. Simply put, it is being happy with yourself through it all and beyond.

You need to pursue it; you need to have the perseverance

You need to see the world through the positive lens

How you act; how you are in the moment and all the time

Finding you; seeing you

And what in this thing we call a world, who you need to be

In-Between it all

The line between life and death. A seemingly long tunnel. The tunnel of your history. Seeing things remembered and things that are not. Finding out things you never thought of. What had happened around you. Faces of long past. Venturing down the tunnel, you have the clarity to remember everything. Seeing everything in your life. What you started out as; what you became. All life experiences, here in this tunnel. At the precipice the doorway of the afterlife greeting you with open arms.

Waterfalls by Nykki Norlander

The words

flow from my fingers

like waterfalls;

clear and fast, loud and refreshing.

I am setting my mind free of burdens;

guilt and shame that would darken my days.

I am building poems

like homes;

Strong foundation, beauty entwined, complete.

I collect wisdom like seeds

and plant them every step I take.

Weeping Willow trees grow.

Orange flowers bloom.

I visit whenever I feel lost

which is often.

Chaotic Forces

A force for good:

Her of the heroes coven

The one to care for all things

Great and small

A gift to bring light onto the world

A force for evil:

Him of the dark coven

The one who resents everything

Great and small

A curse to bring darkness onto the world

The arbritrator:

A neutral chaos coven

Loving and resenting all things

Great and small

Maintaining the balance of gift and curse

The good, the evil

The culmination of both

Woven together

For all of time

Beauty in them

How do you determine beauty? The look in their eyes. Those loving eyes. It's the smile that brings you joy. It’s the beauty in them.

Is it a conversation? The way they laugh at your joke. The way they glowed when the first time you said I love you. It’s the closer you get to know them. Its the beauty in them.

Who is this person? Are they the one? Have you known them for what seems like forever? It's the things you know them to be. It's the beauty in them.

The glow of the momemt

The feeling of want; the feeling of need

To feel a sense of belonging

Belonging to self; belonging to others

To find that place for you

Seeing the world through a lens

Clear as day; dark as night

Think of the moment

The stolen moment

See how you saw the world

See what you have right in front of you

Be in the moment; feeling the moment

See the lens focus on the glow

The glow of the moment

Doors open

Greet the morning to one and all. Let it lead to great things. The feeling of being absolutely fantastic. May life bring you joy; may it bring you the feeling of peace as you start your day. Pouring a brief cup of coffee and eating 2 pieces of toast, a shower to feel refreshed and wake up, put todays outfit on. The doors open and its time to leave.

Picture of a dream

What do you see?

Is it a radient glow?

Is it a soft glow?

Is it a combination of both depending on the circumstances?

What do you see?

Is it happiness; is it sadness?

Is it joy; is it anger?

Is it confidence; is it disgust?

Is it few; is it all?

What do you see?

Is it nature; is it city?

Is it dirt road; is it paved freeway?

Is it the fresh variety of green?

Is it wet asphalt in the rain?

Is it clear night sky, is it light pollution?

What do you hear?

What do you smell?

What do you taste?

What do you touch?

What do you picture a dream would be?
