Common Misfits Season 1: Final Issue

The matron made it back to the Point of Reality defeated. There was a waterfall and out stepped George O’Hare and Stacy Marsh.

“Oh great it gets worse,” said the Matron.

“This is where it ends Matron,” said George.

“Then let’s get this over with,” the Matron said with a growl.

Back on earth the portal to the Point of Reality was closing. Mathew glowed purple with Shifter energy. He blasted it at the portal and held it open.

“I can hold it, but it will probably require some speed to get in.

“Speed is what we do,” said Ross. Both him and Elania sped to the portal and went inside.

The Matron opened a hole in the Point of Reality. Stacy began to be pulled in but was shifted back and held in by George.

“Partial shift her Stacy.” Gorge ordered.

Stacy glowed black and held out a hand.  George sent a blast of energy. The Matron shielded herself from it. She tried closing the portal but it wasn’t working. It shrunk down but was being held in place. Stacy focused on the Matron. The Matron started to glow black. Her shielding from Georges blast began to give way. Eventually the Matron glowed black and was stuck shifting between the point and Limbo.

“Enough,” The matron yelled out in a rage. She held out a hand. George and Stacy were pinned to the wall. “I will not die by the likes of the Grand Septor and Black Shifter.”

The portal glowed purple and from it came Ross and the Ethereal Trio. Astrid took over and sped in a circle making hand signs. Ross called out thousand souls again and jumped forward. The Matron pinned Ross to the wall and snapped his neck. Astrid made the final hand sign and ran through the Matron. As the matron was falling apart, Ross came back to life and George and Stacy were freed. The matron began to crack but tried remaining in place. George sent a blast and she was obliterated. The Matron’s soul was absorbed into Ross’ axe. The portal disappeared.

The portal to the Point of Reality closed on earth. Mathew fell to his knees as everyone else joined. Kathleen was holding the bangle. There was a waterfall. Ross, Elania, Astrid, George and Stacy stepped out.

“It’s over.” Ross said.

Mathew shifted everyone to the spot where the Misfit Society once stood. He held out a hand and Rufus shifted back from the healing plane. Kathleen in tears held out the bangle. Everyone but the troops joined together to hug Rufus.

“Thank you my Common Misfits for joining me on this.”

“I just got here,” aid Tribute.

Ashley cupped his mouth. “Not now,” she said.

“I wish you all the best in your journeys as you embark on this world,” Rufus said with a half smile still saddened over his son.

“What will you do?” Harptheon asked.

“Rebuild in a safer location. It will be an even better Misfit Society I only wish my son could build it with me.” Rufus said. “You all should get going. Mathew, if you could take them home.”

The season finished of a group who came together for a common cause. They were just a bunch of Common Misfits who found their place in the world.
