“Daddy,” called out Kathleen running over
“Madams,” Said Jason hugging Elania and Astrid.
Christie kissed Mathew.
“I need to shift Rufus to the healing plane. I’ll be right back.” Mathew said before he glowed with Rufus and disappeared.
Sparks showed up in front of them. Ross and Ashley stood in front of the blast. Ross got up angry and ran forward.
“That seems like an issue,” Elania said. Her and Astrid merged and took off running at the bulding. at the building.
Ashley still healing gathered fire and launched a huge ball at the group of oncoming soldiers. Son used TADRA to freeze them so Ross could pass. The commanders emerged, brandished their pick axes and ran towards Ross. He met one of the blades with his axe and was thrown into the building next to the one housing the Anti-particle squad. Astrid ran in making hand signs and shielded when a spark came towards her in the building. She was hit back and pressed forward. Ross jumped through the windows of the buildings and crossed over. The commanders made their way into the building. Ross tossed his axe that sliced through one of the squad members. One started forming sparks when Astrid sent a spike into them. Elania took over. Her and Ross sped around and killed the rest of the squad. Elania in reflex that she didn’t understand lifted an arm into a shadow shield and was hit by one of the commanders. Harptheon and Ashley took to the sky and the time freeze around the soldiers broke. Everyone else took off running..
Mathew shifted Rufus onto the healing plane. Green tinted streams of white surrounded Rufus.
“You need to get back,” he said to Mathew. “I’ll be fine.”
Replicor looked back at Kathleen who was throwing everything she could get her ribbons around when he saw it. He ran forward to her. There was a gold ripple behind Kathleen. Replicor bonded with Kathleen as there was a large crack and a bright gold Hector stepped forward. He held out a hand and blasted them. Replicor could feel his skin repelling and almost bonding with the blast. Christie tried shifting them away, but she couldn’t.
“I’m sorry Katie,” said Replicor.
“Why,” Kathleen asked, but then she understood. “Please don’t.”
“We are both made from the Zen particle. I’m the only one capable of actually ending him.”
“It will kill you as well.”
“I know. All I’ve wanted since I met you is to keep you safe. This is me keeping that I don’t know what has brought me to feel this way but it’s the truth. I didn’t think I could feel this way for someone. I know we haven’t known each other very long, but I love you Kathleen.”
“I know.”
“Then you know what I have to do.”
“Yes I do. I love you too.”
“Hey asshole,” He called out to Hector. “How does being put out of your misery feel.”
Hector tried recalling the blast but couldn’t. Replicor bonded to the blast and shot back over. He bonded to Hector and they exploded. All that was left was Rufus’ bangle. There was a purple glow and Mathew reappeared.
Harptheon and Ashley joined the battle with the commanders outside.
“I think it’s time you show them what you can do.” The matron said with a smile. More portals to different realities opened up and multiplied. The ground began to crack In various parts of the city and the rubble began to rise.
Over in the Archipelago Arena Bolton was shifting the portal as it changed various colors.
“I sense Ashley is trouble and it’s about to get worse. Can you please hurry up.” Tribute pleaded.
“I think I got this. I need some of that magic from your blade to sync with this thing.” Tribute unsheathed Excalibur, held it up and channeled blue energy into the portal. “Okay its working. Shifting to earth in 5… 4… 3… 2… 1…” Both of them glowed white and disappeared.
Ashley, Ross and General Chain met in the center. Several chains came out of the generals hands and wrapped around Ashley and Ross. Two more went into their chests.
“Hey Ross,” said Ashley, “Maybe we shouldn’t have impulse bought this fight.”
“At least one isn’t going through my neck.”
“Yeah that was gross. I don’t suppose there is a chance at backup.”
A white beam shot out of one of the Matrons portals.
“It depends on if that plot point is good or bad.”
A sword came out of the beam, obliterated the chains around Ashley and stuck in the ground.
“Excalibur,” Ashley exclaimed.
“The Excalibur,” asked Ross.
“That means,” Ashley aid looking back at the portal. Two more beams shot forward. Out of one came Bolton and the other came Tribute. “Tribute” Ashley called out running over and hugging him.
“I will always protect you.” Tribute said with a smile
“Excuse me,” said Ross, “kind of stuck here.”
“Oh please,” said Ashley back “you’ve probably been through worse.” Ashley replied.
“Thank…” Tribute started to say to Bolton, but he glowed purple and disappeared.
“The new guy is fine we need to help Ross.” Ashley said grabbing Tributes arm.
“Well at least he’s safe. I was just warming up to the guy.” Tribute said grabbing Excalibur. With a swing he obliterated the chains around Ross. He made a blue glowing shield with Excalibur.
“So what’s the plan?” Ross asked.
“Has Ashley informed you about switching?”
Bolton reappeared next to Mathew.
“I could sense the shift when you arrived,” Mathew said getting straight to it.
“My name is Bolton Shalon, the Cosmic Shifter.” Bolton said standing his ground.
“Well what can you do?”
“I do some rather obtuse shifting of the 4th dimension.”
“Good, you’re perfect to what I need. We are going to bring down the Matron’s power.”
They glowed purple and disappeared. Kathleen ran forward in a rage, but was shifted back to Christie . Kathleen was about to protest when a car fell where she was running to.
“Son, turn it into a rust bucket.” Kathleen yelled running forward again.
Son shot a beam and aged the car 2 decades. Kathleen wrapped as many ribbons as she could around it, ripped it apart and threw them forward. Jason dodged as the pieces ceme flying through. Elania ran around distracting the commanders as Harptheon ripped through them. General chain increased the chains flying at Ashley, Ross and Tribute.
“Ashley,” Tribute said, “you distract. Ross and I will switch. I need to be close enough with a strike from Excalibur.”
“It’s like we’re in a book or something,” said Ross basically drooling over the look of Excalibur.
“What does he,” said Tribute.
“Not now,” interrupted Ashley, “Too long to explain.”
“I’ll explain it over coffee.” Ross said with a smile. “A bro date with the wielder of Excalibur sounds great.”
“Harbinger,” said an angry Ashley.
“Right, we fight now” Ross noted.
There was a purple glow and Mathew along with Bolton emerged near the Matron.
“As long as these portals stay open, the Matron still has the advantage. We shift together and close them. “
Both Mathew and Bolton held out hands and the the portals started to glow and disappear. The Matron looked around but couldn’t understand what was happening. Jason, Kathleen, Son and the troops finished off the Zen soldiers. Harptheon and Elania had about finished off the commanders. Tribute sent a shockwave from Excalibur.
“Switch,” Tribute called.
“And you opened with that one,” Ross called back. He swung his axe to deflect the chains and were knocked back with several of them. “Switch,” he called to Tribute.
The portals were glowing and disappearing around the matron and the destruction of Galin City slowed, Ashley hit General Chain with a fireball who responded with a chain that knocked her back. Tribute broke the chains hitting Ross. He sent another blast and knocked General Chain back.
“Switch,” Tribute called to Ross.
Ashley pressed her palms down and took off into the air. She gathered as much Fire as she could and fired at General Chain.
“Thousand souls,” Ross yelled and his axe glowed. He hurled it at the chains. The fireball hit General Chain and his chains separated leaving an opening. “Switch,” Ross called out.
Tribute ran forward, made a vertical slice with a glowing Excalibur and General chain was split in two. Harptheon killed the final commander. Mathew and Bolton cleared out the last of the Reality portals. The Matron retreated back to the Point of Reality.
